Meet the Owner

Teresa Setaro (aka “Lady T”) has been interested in hair for as long as she can remember. After one year of studies at the University of Connecticut, she took a break to earn her cosmetology license. When she returned to life as a college student, she couldn’t escape the coiffure calling and found herself giving haircuts in the back of her Jeep in between classes. After earning a degree in Psychology (just one of the many reasons she is so in tune with her clients!), Teresa grew her business from doing hair in her basement to her current spa-like salon with multiple full-time and part-time employees.

In addition to being a licensed cosmetologist, Teresa boasts many other accreditations including Best of Balayage, Beauty Launchpad, Mane Interest, Masters of Balayage and Balayage Featured. She has also been a featured stylist for NBC Studios.

Teresa’s motivation goes beyond just an interest in hair. Her entrepreneurial drive and generosity are directly inspired by her father. Antonio Setaro emigrated from Italy when he was 16-years-old with only $16 in his pocket. He went on to live the American Dream starting a family-run business with his brother and always giving back to his community. Teresa is committed to preserving Tony’s legacy through her hard work and compassion. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, she raised money to provide meals for nurses at her local hospitals. This grassroot effort grew, raising thousands of dollars and providing hundreds of meals to healthcare workers across the entire state of Connecticut.

With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, Teresa’s passion is to make women feel beautiful. Opened in 2017, LT Hair Salon offers the finest services including textured precision cutting, balayage, hand-tied extensions, and Brazilian blowouts.
